Cyberattack incidents in the recent digitally superior era is undeniable like unauthorized access, data breach, etc that are exponentially increasing. Similarly, Pegasus spyware is the latest surveillance ware by the Israeli NSO Group. In this paper, an exhaustive study on this spyware is implemented to comprehend its effect on the civil world and how it is exploited by governments. Here, we detail Pegasus features, functions, and operational architecture. An insight on system analysis and log investigation demonstrated highlighting the most frequent suspicious processes considering previously infected cases.
