We are JOSA, a non-profit organization that believes technology should be accessible, transparent and beneficial to everyone in our society. Our team run initiatives that promote technology in Jordan to enhance access to knowledge, civic participation and online safety.

 

Job Description

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Program Officer to:

• Help planning and managing our projects and initiatives.
• Make our activities successful, by identifying issues and driving creative solutions to fix them.
• Ensure that our efforts are having impact, by coordinating with other team members and partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for people who have experience in in the ICT sector and/or civil society, and are:

• Passionate about our mission and values.
• Interested in technology or human rights.
• Great in managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

 

Preferably, the ideal candidate also has:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Previous knowledge or experience in Digital Security, Digital Rights or Open Source Software.

 

REPORTING

The Program Officer reports to the Program Coordinator.
