Google Ends Support for IE6

Google has announced it will stop support to Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.

"Many other companies have already stopped supporting older browsers like Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers. We're also going to begin phasing out our support, starting with Google Docs and Google Sites," Rajen Sheth, Google Apps senior product manager, wrote in a blog post Friday.

The announcement comes after two weeks of the Chinese cyber-attacks on Google. Security vulnerabilities of Internet Explorer were targeted in the attack.

Suggested browsers by Google were Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 3.0, Google Chrome 4.0 or Safari 3.0 and their more recent versions.

According to w3schools, almost 10.9% (december 2009 statics) still use IE6, I think that's really big. Get an update people! Or better get something cooler like firefox or chrome.
