Mozilla announced that the new version of its web browser, Firefox 3.6, will be available for download at www.firefox.com on Thursday, January 21st at 9:30am PST.

The new version has several fixes to improve performance, stability and security. Changes were also made to how other software integrate with Firefox in order to prevent crashes.

Firefox 3.6 also has built-in support for Personas (a one-click way to easily change the look and theme of the browser) as well as an alert to keep plugins updated to keep them safe.

This version comes with improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness and startup time in addition to support for new CSS, DOM and HTML5 web technologies.
