WHAT IS A CC SALON?
CC Salons are global, informal events focused on building a community of artists, developers, and creators of all kinds around Creative Commons licenses, standards, and technology.
The first event took place in San Francisco in 2006 with the idea to replicate in other locations internationally. Since then salons have sprung up in cities around the world (see the list online at http://wiki.creativecommons.org/Salon)
The format for each event varies based on the location, but the overall concept is simple. CC Salons are open forums for people who are interested in the issues surrounding Creative Commons and global participatory culture.

Considering we have a line to follow as per previouse cities
we are a bit limited in terms of form.. but lines and colors can still
give a closer reflection of Amman ..

Not too sure...
The word Amman is too thick... the other ones around the world (NY, Berlin...) are thinner... plus i would chose a different font for the word... something like the ones they chose (a sans serif, thin font) like Helvetica Neue (light)... Also not sure about the actual symbols.... 1st three are too much of a statement (religious or patriotic)... should be something more neutral... so if i had to chose i would go for the last one... have you tried the amphitheater? could be shorter than columns, and more contained as a shape...

i think Petra will best represent jordan since its one of the world wonders,, also i think that amman should be in some degree of pink , or petra drawing should be in pink.
